Meet the Team
Sara Guo
Founder
Sara Guo is a first-year university student at Queen's University for the Smith Bachelor of Commerce program in Canada. She has been featured on CBC, CTV and OMNI Television for her work. She balances her life playing badminton, piano, art and school. She is passionate about social justice issues which can be seen in her involvement in her school’s MINGA Social Justice Club, and co-painting two murals, including a 13 ft by 10.5 ft mural in the South Riverdale Community Health Centre. She hopes this organization will allow more youth to voice their thoughts without having to worry about judgement.
Ella Dorfman
Secretary
Ella Dorfman is a sophomore attending West Shore Jr. Sr. High School in Melbourne, Florida. She enjoys video editing, music, and writing. Her passions include baking and kickboxing, and she is excited to be part of the EyesOnYouth team.
Khushi Kumar
Outreach Coordinator
Khushi Kumari is a grade 12 AP student attending St Edmund Campion, which is located in Ontario, Canada. She is one of the outreach coordinators for EyesOnYouth and her role is to manage external affairs by reaching out to other organizations, schools, news stations, celebrities, companies, industry professionals, etc for partnerships. She enjoys creative writing, fashion, photography, listening to music and is passionate about fighting for human rights.
Haafizah Chandsa
Director of Events
Haafizah is a grade 12 student currently attending Monarch Park Collegiate. She is passionate about advocating for minorities and human rights issues around the world and believes the first step to equity for all, is giving a voice to those who are consistently being silenced. She is the Vice President of Student Council, the President of the Muslim Student’s Association, and the President of the Interclub Council at her school. She strives to make a difference in her school and community through the various clubs and extracurriculars she participates in.
Thiha Htoo Hsett
Events Coordinator
Thiha Htoo Hsett is a junior at an international school in Yangon, Myanmar. He likes to draw and watch movies. He’s very outgoing and kind so don’t be scared to ask him any questions you have. He believes that everyone is equal and he would like to make everyone around the world aware of this fact. He’s very excited to be a part of this team and can’t wait to connect with everyone.
Mary Mai
Events Coordinator
Mary is currently a 15-year-old sophomore in high school. Her current interests include politics, science, music, and reading. She wants to make great impacts in her community and learn more about things that inspire her. Mary believes that education is very important and that everyone should be able to have access to the education that they want and need. She also dedicates her time and her efforts to subjects she cares deeply about and wants to make positive impacts in life whether they are big or small. A fun fact that people don’t know about her is that she is a big animal lover.
Gia Bautista
Illustrator
Gia is in Grade 11 at St. John Paul II in Toronto. She is interested in film, comics, literature, anime and aquascaping. She is a big fan of the undo shortcut, which is why she loves design and digital illustrations. She is from the Philippines and loves snorkelling and coral reefs. Gia is passionate about art, nature and the expression of voices.
Khushi Jamnadas
Graphic Designer
Khushi is in grade 10, and currently attends Castlebrooke Secondary School. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the world, as well as in pursuing a career in the field of marketing. During her free time, Khushi enjoys drawing, skateboarding in the summer, and photography when going sight-seeing. Khushi also attends karate classes on a weekly basis and is currently at a brown advanced belt level.
Samayeeta Maitra
Graphic Designer
You will usually find Samayeeta glued to her laptop where she spends most of her spare time hunting down information about computer science or worldly issues that are unheard of. After teaching herself Python,C and many other programming languages, she also excels in puzzle solving and out of over 13,000+ contestants, received a certificate for CS50 Puzzle Day 2020! During her free time, she likes to bake, roam about the house with her dog and binge watch Netflix series. She is eager to combine her research and designing skills for EyesOnYouth to make their organization a successful one!
Salina Guo
Editor
Salina is a grade 12 IB student attending Monarch Park Collegiate Institute. She enjoys painting and playing the piano in her spare time. What most people don’t know about her is that she is double-jointed, but that doesn't stop her from writing stories, poems and expressing her opinions through art. She is passionate about creating social change and looks forward to using her skills to create further awareness about world issues.

Esha is a grade 12 in Toronto, ON, Canada and she's thrilled to be one of the editors for EyesOnYouth. Some of her interests include reading, watching and producing short films, photography and graphic design. She is passionate about helping others and she strives for a better world. She likes exploring new things, hidden gems and having fun from the small various parts in life. As an editor, she looks forward to ensuring that these magazines prove as an enjoyable and insightful read for youth across the world :)
